Of course, the necessary bit of luck in the decisive seconds is part of sport.
But what really made this “miracle” possible is the foundation behind it: years of meticulous training, an unshakeable system and a mental focus that allows no doubt until the very last second. It is proof that hard work pays off.
It is exactly this mentality that excites us about HSG Konstanz.
Repeating the success: promotion 2024
HSG Konstanz proved that this mentality was no isolated case just two years later: after the bitter relegation in 2023, the new team fought its way back with the same determination. In June 2024 HSG sealed direct promotion back to the 2nd Bundesliga in the dramatic play-off games against Eintracht Hildesheim – the fifth promotion to the second division in the club’s history. And the next promotion is sure to follow.
